BONNIE AUGENSTEIN IS GREAT!!!!
Recently, the Salvation Army held their
“Volunteer Thank You Breakfast” and Bonnie
Augenstein was surprised when she received a
large crystal plaque engraved as their
“Volunteer of the Year Award”. The officer presenting
the award explained that Bonnie works
weekly at whatever assignment they give her –
and without ever complaining. One example of
a huge task she was asked to handle was arranging
and organizing the Thanksgiving Day
dinner. This dinner served over 22,000 people
and Bonnie worked for weeks, sometimes working
50 hours in one week to accomplish this
task. Bonnie also presented the Salvation Army
with a $250 “AT&T Cares Grant” at the Volunteer
Breakfast. Bonnie, you personify our
Club’s commitment to helping in our community!
Thank You Bonnie!

I Love to Brag
I think this small club does a wonderful job and
I like to brag about it and let our members know
what others are doing in their volunteer efforts.
Enclosed is a list of our Club’s Projects. This
small club does a lot of good for a lot of organizations.
Thank you so much, and keep up the
GREAT work!

HEART PILLOWS NEVER DIE
At a recent Florida Hospital “Funshop” at
Wekiva Homeowners Association, a resident
of Wekiva stopped in to do some
business with the association. Mr. Art
Madden noticed our members making
heart pillows and mentioned he had one
of our pillows. He told us he had open
heart surgery in 1993 and our pillow was
just a wonderful thing and he still used it.
He went home and brought it back to
show us how really “tired” this pillow had
become. We offered to exchange the pillow
for a new one but he said he would
love to have a new one, but would never
part with his original. He also asked if we
would please accept a donation to help
our club keep up this good work, and he
gave our Treasurer a very generous donation.

To the Pioneers,
Please accept our gratitude, from US Army
Corps of Engineers and myself for the wonderful
Christmas Box O' Goodies. The goodies
were of exceptional quality and shared them
with as many soldiers and civilian counter
parts as we could. Of course, we kept the
choicest items of booty... that's how it goes.
Still, and most importantly, we appreciate
your valuable time; not to only think of us
here, but to put together a gift that allows us
to share Christmas with you.
On behalf of the US Air Force and US Army
Corps of Engineers Thank you
for adding some merriment to our Christmas.
